2024
The first 70 years of Walcor

An important milestone for our company, founded in 1954 by a small craft workshop in the center of Cremona. On the occasion of this important event, we asked a hundred young artists to reinterpret in a modern way the seventy years of the brand, to give life to a celebratory graphic image, modern and with bright colors.

The winner of the competition is Sofia Fresia, with her oil painting that represents celebration, sharing and fun. With a reference to cocoa beans and flowers, the work represents a visual appeal of surprise, as a dip in fantasy, and positive values of the brand.

2023
New Logo

The rebranding marked a moment of great importance in our history. Today with our new logo we are ready to be champions in the national production of chocolate and reach all people in the world to offer them an emotion.

2020
Historicity and change

In 2020, Walcor receives the "Historic Brand" recognition, which protects and rewards Made in Italy production excellence. Two years later, in 2022, Walcor becomes a joint-stock company and opens up to a new future of industrial relaunch, thanks to the entry into companies of J.P. Morgan Asset Management and Invitalia. Walcor is preparing to fully express its value in the national and international market. 

2000
A rapidly expanding future

In 2002, Walcor was the first company in Italy to produce private labels with an Easter theme. The expansion is rapid and also involves the international market: it is necessary to reorganize logistics. Thus, in 2011, the new Walcor pole for storage is inaugurated, with very high technical and innovation standards. 

1990
The surprises never end

Carlo Santini has an intuition that will change the fate of Walcor forever: acquiring licenses of great national and international brands, combining the quality of the product with the surprise of its content. Begins the collaboration with Giochi Preziosi and the first licenses related to Sailor Moon, Spiderman, I Cavalieri dello Zodiaco. New spaces needed: Walcor moves to its current headquarters in Pozzaglio e Uniti, with more than eighty thousand square meters available. 

1980
The Santini brothers: love for chocolate

At the beginning of the 80s, the Santini brothers, Walter’s grandchildren, joined the company. Following their grandfather’s idea, they abandoned the production of graffiti to devote themselves entirely to Easter eggs, Chocolate coins and Christmas motifs for sale in supermarkets. The growing success of the company brings Walcor to the new and larger factory in Boschetto, just outside Cremona.

New products. A women’s company

A women’s company. Walcor moves to the new workshop in via Novati. Walter’s intuition is the beginning of a new adventure: producing Christmas subjects and Easter eggs. The products are hand-wrapped and delivered to local supermarkets.

The sgranfignòn of tradition

In the small workshop of via Marmolada in Cremona, Walcor produces the graffiti (sgranfignòn, in local dialect): typical sweets with whole cherry heart under spirit wrapped by a rough shell of chocolate.

Football and chocolate: a true Italian

Walter Corsanini is a former player of Seria A. Among the many career successes, he also participates in the first derby ever of the capital city, in the historic league.
